Lumi euskal bikotea 2014an sortu zen. Boza Nahia Zubeldiak du ekartzen; makinak, Manu Matthys ekoizle elektronikoak. Euskal folk kantuak eta elektro esperimentalak batzearekin, soinu ekoitzi eta organikoa sortzen dute, non makinek eta ahotsak elkar elikatzen duten.

Lehen EPa (Moï Moï Records, 2015), Itzal zikinak diskoa (2019) eta Japoniako bira egin ondotik, 2022an LUMIk Bezperen Dirdira argitaratu zuen (Usopop Diskak), boz polimorfikoa eta erritmo organikoak orekatzeagatik txalotua izan zena.

Udada 2026rako, LUMIk zuzenekoa errotik birmoldatu du, Benny softwarearen inguruan. James Holden ekoizlearen programak kantu oro inprobisaziorako eremu ireki bilakatzen du, eta makinei bide zuzenetik ateratzeko parada ematen die. Bikoteak irudia ere gehitu dio zuzenekoari, bideo proiekzioen eta argiaren bitartez. Formatu berri horretan, soinua gorpuzten da, eta musika ikus daiteke. Erronka? LUMI is a Basque duo formed in 2014. On vocals, Nahia Zubeldia; on machines, Manu Matthys, electronic producer (Matthys, Odei). From this meeting between Basque folk singing and experimental electronics comes a sound both crafted and organic, where the machines and the Basque language carry each other.

After a first EP (Moï Moï Records, 2015), the album Itzal zikinak (2019) and a tour of Japan, LUMI released Bezperen Dirdira (Usopop Diskak) in 2022, praised for its balance between a shape-shifting voice and organic rhythms. The duo has shared the stage with Dominique A. and Sébastien Tellier, and played the Trois Baudets in Paris, Japan and the Teatro Mayor in Bogotá.

For Udada 2026, LUMI presents a completely rethought live set built around Benny, the software created by producer James Holden, which turns each track into an open space for improvisation — a ground where the machines are allowed to drift. The duo adds a new visual dimension through video projection and light. In this new format, sound takes shape and music becomes visible. The aim: a unique moment at every performance.
